Position Summary
Dynasty Development is a growing civil construction company specializing in site development, earthwork, utilities, paving, concrete, and demolition throughout East Texas.
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Civil Construction Estimator to join our team. This position is ideal for someone with construction industry experience who has a basic understanding of estimating, takeoffs, and construction plans and is looking to build a long-term career in civil construction.
The Estimator will assist in preparing competitive bids, performing quantity takeoffs, soliciting subcontractor and supplier pricing, and analyzing project costs for a variety of civil construction projects. The successful candidate will work closely with project managers, field personnel, subcontractors, and suppliers while continuing to develop their estimating and construction knowledge.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Review project plans, specifications, and bid documents.
- Perform quantity takeoffs for earthwork, utilities, concrete, paving, demolition, and related civil construction activities.
- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates and bid proposals.
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations.
- Utilize estimating software and spreadsheets to develop estimates and analyze project costs.
- Attend pre-bid meetings and perform site visits as necessary.
- Identify project risks, constructability concerns, and value engineering opportunities.
- Maintain estimating databases, unit pricing, and historical cost information.
- Collaborate with project managers, field personnel, subcontractors, and suppliers throughout the bidding process.
- Assist with project turnover and handoff to operations upon award.
- Support business development efforts through proposal preparation and bid submissions.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support company operations and project success.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field preferred.
- 1-5 years of experience in construction estimating, project engineering, project coordination, field engineering, or civil construction operations preferred.
- Recent graduates with internship experience or construction-related work experience are encouraged to apply.
- Experience in site development, earthwork, utilities, paving, concrete, demolition, or related civil construction fields preferred.
Technical Skills
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and contract documents.
- Basic understanding of quantity takeoffs and estimating principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Experience with HCSS HeavyBid, Agtek, Bluebeam, or similar estimating software is a plus but not required.
- Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Requirements
- Valid driver's license required.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience estimating site development, earthwork, water, sewer, storm drainage, paving, and concrete projects.
- Working knowledge of local subcontractors, suppliers, and construction markets.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
- Experience with HeavyBid, Agtek, Bluebeam, or similar construction software.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
