Full Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Mid-level Accountant with at least 5 years’ solid accounting experience to join our dynamic finance team. To ensure the right level of expertise, we are only considering candidates who have at least five years of dedicated accounting experience. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in accounting principles, financial software, and data analysis to ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), and efficient management of financial transactions.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse accounting systems, support internal controls, and contribute to the overall success of our organization’s financial operations. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help us maintain transparency, accuracy, and excellence in all financial activities.

CORE COMPETENCIES:

Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and balance sheet analyses to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Manage accounts payable and receivable processes using various financial software such as QuickBooks, Great Plains (now known as Microsoft Dynamics GP)
Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures, including general ledger accounting and financial statement preparation.
Conduct data entry tasks with high precision, utilizing Excel data analysis skills for reporting and audit purposes.
Reconcile accounts regularly to identify discrepancies, analyze account activity, and ensure proper ledger maintenance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting, credit analysis, and financial concepts to optimize organizational resources.
Handle confidential information with integrity while maintaining strict adherence to company policies and regulatory standards.

REQUIREMENTS AND EDUCATION:

Proven experience in accounting or finance roles with a strong understanding of GAAP, governmental accounting, or nonprofit accounting is preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite—especially Excel—for spreadsheets, data analysis, and report generation.
Knowledge of technical accounting principles including journal entries, debits & credits, account analysis, and double-entry bookkeeping.
Experience working with various financial systems and accounting systems for bookkeeping and reconciliation tasks.
Strong numeracy skills combined with attention to detail for accurate data entry and account reconciliation.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining accuracy under tight deadlines.
Effective communication skills for collaborating across departments and supporting customer service initiatives related to accounts management.
Prefer a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

The target base salary range for this position is $80,000 - $95,000 annually. The wage range for this role considers many factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, licensure and certification, business needs, and market demands. The pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
