Full Job Description

Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacist to join our team. This is a 10+ year old independent pharmacy in a largely Hispanic community. As the Pharmacist, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the pharmacy department and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. You will work closely with your team, patients and healthcare professionals to provide optimal care to patients.

Duties:
- Ensure accurate and timely dispensing of medications, vaccines, and MTM services
- Review prescriptions for accuracy, appropriateness, and potential drug interactions
- Provide drug information and counseling to patients

- Monitor medication usage patterns and implement interventions to improve patient outcomes
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to optimize medication therapy

- Manage and supervise pharmacy staff, including technicians, clerks, delivery drivers, and support personnel
- Oversee and optimize inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and storage of medications
- Implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
- Participate in quality improvement, efficiency and profitability initiatives
- Maintain accurate records of all pharmacy operations

Qualifications:
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited school of pharmacy
- Current pharmacist license in good standing in the state of practice

-Trained and Certified Immunizer

-CPR Certified

-MTM Certified for Medi-Cal Rx
- Previous experience as a Pharmacist or similar leadership role preferred
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations, and medical terminology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail and problem-solving abilities - Ability to meet goals and deadlines individually and with the team

Skills:

-Computer, Parata Max, and technology skills

-Fluent Spanish or basic working knowledge highly preferred

-PioneerRx software knowledge highly preferred
