MicroCAD is a leading Autodesk Platinum partner, a Bluebeam partner, Egnyte partner and more. We are seeking a Construction focused Senior Technical Specialist to join our growing AEC team. The Technical Specialist will play a key role in delivering Construction focused Technical Services across a wide range of projects, industries, and customer requirements. This position combines deep expertise in at least one specialty area (estimation, bidding, pre-construction, project management, VDC/BIM, Technology, etc ) with the versatility to learn and support additional disciplines.
Success in this role requires a flexible, collaborative mindset and the ability to contribute across multiple areas. Technical Specialists are responsible for producing high-quality deliverables, assisting with product and workflow demonstrations, and confidently communicating the Autodesk FORMA ( Construction Cloud ) technical solutions and project outcomes to customers. A willingness to step beyond a single area of expertise is essential to support project demands, maximize team effectiveness, and drive customer success.

Key Responsabilities
- Help our customers maximize the value of Autodesk Forma (ACC) through consulting, implementation, training, mentoring, standards development, template creation, and ongoing technical support across the Autodesk Construction Cloud ecosystem.
- Partner with AEC teams to evaluate current processes, recommend best practices, and establish collaborative workflows that support efficient project delivery and stronger team engagement.
- Build strong client relationships by providing timely support, addressing technical issues, and delivering solutions that improve project performance and user success.
- Collaborate with MicroCAD’s Sales, Marketing and Technical Support teams to deliver outstanding customer experiences.
Qualifications
- Work experience with Forma Takeoff, Cost Management, ProEst, and the estimating workflows. Experience using Autodesk Forma (or legacy products such as ACC, BIM360, Glue, PlanGrid etc.) core components/modules Docs, Design Collaboration, Model Coordination, Takeoff, Build, ProEst, Cost, or Autodesk Estimate.
- 7+ years or work experience using project or field management platforms such as Procore, Trimble, CMiC, Newforma, Vault, Egnyte, or similar collaboration solutions
- 7+ years of work experience as an Estimator or Preconstruction Manager role (or similar ) within construction, engineering, ownership/development, or consulting environments.
- Strong demo skills, excellent communication skills and confidence presenting technical solutions to clients both online and in-person.
- Capacity to learn new tools and workflows efficiently while contributing effectively across a variety of technical disciplines and project types.
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time – as required by customer engagements or industry shows and events.
Additional Preferred Skills
- · Extensive experience leading VDC coordination efforts in Navisworks across 5+ projects OR Experience in Procore, Sage Estimating, HCSS, On-Screen Takeoff.
- · Experience leading change and the implementation of new technology.
- · Experience with additional related software such as: Navisworks, Revit, Assemble, BuildingConnected Pro, BidBoard Pro, TradeTapp, Pype Autospec, Pype Closeout, BIM 360
