Location

Hybrid role based in Leesburg, Virginia, combining in-office collaboration with the flexibility to work remotely as appropriate.

Note

This role requires at least 3+ years of civil litigation experience with a reputable law firm, including first- or second-chair experience in court; in-house-only backgrounds will not be considered.

Job Description

Handle a broad range of civil litigation matters from inception through resolution
Draft and argue motions, briefs, and pleadings in Virginia courts
Take and defend depositions and manage discovery strategy
Appear in court, including hearings and trials, as first or second chair
Work directly with clients to develop case strategy and deliver results
Collaborate with partners and other attorneys across practice areas

Qualifications

JD from an accredited law school
Active Virginia Bar license in good standing
3+ years of civil litigation experience with a law firm
First- or second-chair litigation experience in Virginia courts
Strong legal writing, research, and advocacy skills
Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment
