Valley Institute of Prosthetics and Orthotics, INC (VIPO) is looking for a dynamic, detail-oriented patient care coordinator to be the welcoming face and organizational anchor for our Bakersfield location.

This is not just a desk job - you will be the first step in our patient's journey to renewing mobility and independence, whether they are injured seeking an orthotic device, or post amputation needing a prosthetic to regain confidence.

4. Follow-up Force: Relentlessly track and follow up on documentation requests in order to get our patients the devices they need, under their very specific insurance specific coverage criteria

What you’ll do:

1. First Impressions, Seamless check in/out, Scheduling and Rooming, Shipping & Receiving

What you need to have in your toolbox:

1. Education & Experience: You need to have a Medical Assistant or Medical Billing certification, completion of a vocational school with graduation. You must have 2 years of recent billing, coding, or authorization experience.
