You'll work alongside experienced veterinary professionals, including Registered Veterinary Technicians and skilled support staff. A strong staff-to-doctor ratio allows veterinarians to utilize the clinical team effectively and focus their time on diagnosis, treatment planning and patient care.

The Opportunity
As an Associate Veterinarian, you'll manage a varied caseload while benefiting from strong technician utilization and a collaborative team environment.
Responsibilities will include:
- Providing comprehensive wellness and medical examinations
- Developing diagnostic and treatment plans
- Performing dentistry and soft tissue surgery
- Managing selected urgent care presentations
- Utilizing in-house diagnostics for efficient case workups
- Managing chronic and senior pet conditions
- Seeing avian and exotic patients where appropriate
- Maintaining accurate medical records
- Prescribing medications and managing follow-up care
- Providing clear and compassionate client communication
- Collaborating closely with Registered Veterinary Technicians and support staff
- Contributing to clinical protocols and quality improvement
Doctors with an interest in exotics will have the opportunity to incorporate these patients into their caseload, while veterinarians primarily interested in canine and feline medicine can maintain a more traditional small animal focus.

Requirements
- DVM/VMD or equivalent veterinary qualification
- Texas veterinary license or eligibility to obtain
- DEA registration or eligibility
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- Strong general medicine, diagnostic and client communication skills
- Comfortable with routine surgery and dentistry
- Collaborative, team-focused approach
Previous small animal experience is preferred, although candidates at different stages of their careers will be considered. Experience with avian or exotic medicine is advantageous but not essential.
