POSITION SUMMARY
The Production Coordinator is a key role responsible for ensuring smooth production operations by managing key performance indicators (KPIs), training programs, and continuous improvement initiatives. The Production Coordinator will also oversee various documentation processes and support plant-wide projects to enhance efficiency, quality and safety.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Work Instructions:

Prepare detailed work instructions to ensure compliance with production standards

Provide clear communication and training on work instructions to associates.
Data Management & Performance Tracking:
-
Enter and analyze daily KPI data, identifying trends and areas for improvement.

Communicate production trends and insights to leadership and frontline teams.
Project & Calendar Management:
-
Maintain and update the plant-wide project calendar, ensuring alignment with production goals.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to track and prioritize project progress.
Training & Documentation:

Manage the production training matrix to ensure all employees' training is fully documented and filed.

Oversee the production tool log and review it weekly for accuracy and compliance.

Digitize all production forms into the Safety Chain system and train employees on their use.
5S & Safety Initiatives:

Work with production leads to implement and sustain 5S in assigned areas.

Conduct weekly safety walkthroughs with leads to proactively identify and mitigate risks.
Continuous Improvement & Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Partner with cross-functional leaders to execute continuous improvement (CI) projects directly related to production.

Support initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiency, reducing waste, and optimizing production processes.
ERP System & Inventory Management:

Work in the ERP system to create production work orders.

Assist with verifying inventory or inventory builds as needed.
Additional Support:
-
Assist the Production Manager and/or Supervisor with any additional tasks as needed to ensure smooth operations.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
-
High School Diploma or equivalent
-
3+ years relevant experience (required)
-
Excellent verbal and written communication skills (required)

Superb organization skills (required)

Analytical skills and troubleshooting skills (preferred)

Project management skills (preferred)
-
Interpersonal and follow up skills (required)
-
Microsoft 365 - Strong Excel and Word (required)

Familiarity with manufacturing standards (i.e., safety: lock out/tag out, etc.)

Six Sigma experience, Kaizen, Lean Six Sigma and/or 5S experience referred)
Experience:

Ability to fluently speak and understand English.

The employee may frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds with assistance or equipment.

The employee will perform the required job functions in loud, hot, humid and cold manufacturing environments.

Visual acuity requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and depth perception, particularly for work with computers and troubleshooting equipment.
Monday through Friday - 7:00AM to 3:30PM
Overtime as needed.
