Freedom Boat Club is a members-only boat club with multiple locations across the country, offering a premier water transportation experience. Since its inception, the club has expanded its fleet to include hundreds of boats and thousands of members, fostering a vibrant community of boating enthusiasts.

Overview

Work in beautiful marina settings next to dolphin and manatees assiting our members in hassle free boating.

We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Dockmaster to work as a dockmaster in mltiple locations in the Vero Beach and Sebastion areas. This pivotal role involves assisting our members in standardized check out, checkin proceedures and servicing our boats by proper fueling, cleaning, docking and minor repairs and troubleshooting.y and customer service to deliver an exceptional boating experience for our members.

Responsibilities

Meet members in the parking lot with a cart and assist the member(s) with their gear to the boats.
Follow the proper proceedures to assit members on and off the boats as well a comprehensive checkout and checkin operations
Manage rigging operations, including securing vessels with appropriate lines and equipment and safely fuel the boats.
Conduct routine inspections of dock infrastructure, including mooring systems, walkways, and mechanical components
Maintain detailed records of vessel movements, maintenance logs, and safety inspections
Assist with mechanical troubleshooting and minor vessel repairs.
Enforce safety protocols for members and visitors, ensuring compliance with maritime regulations.

Qualifications

Proven experience in small, single engine, boat handling operations.
Applicants born after 1988 are required to posess a Florida Boaters License.
Some mechanical apptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on the boats.
Familiarity with rigging techniques used in securing vessels safely at docks
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and operational planning.
Ability to work outdoors in inclement weather conditions while maintaining a high level of safety awareness
Effective communication skills for coordinating with members, managers and co-workers.
Prior customer service experience is preferred but not required; leadership qualities are highly valued.
