Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Lead Line Cook/Assistant Kitchen Manager to join our dynamic culinary team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily kitchen operations, ensure the highest standards of food quality and safety, and assist in managing kitchen staff. Your culinary expertise and leadership will help create a vibrant dining experience that delights our guests and maintains our reputation for excellence. This position offers an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about food preparation and delivering exceptional food service in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate food preparation activities to ensure timely, high-quality dishes that meet restaurant standards.
Assist in managing kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and support to foster a collaborative team environment.
Oversee food safety protocols, proper food handling, sanitation practices, and compliance with health regulations.
Ensure efficient kitchen operations during service hours, including managing inventory levels and ordering supplies as needed.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, ensuring all equipment is in working order.

Skills

Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in food preparation and cooking techniques.
Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse kitchen team.
Knowledge of dietary department procedures and dietary aide experience is a plus.
Familiarity with menu planning, fine dining standards, and food industry best practices.
Excellent knife skills, meal preparation expertise, and proficiency in food handling safety protocols.
Experience in restaurant or food service environments with a focus on food safety and sanitation.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently during busy service periods.

Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour
