Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Hotel General Manager to join our hospitality team. In this pivotal role, you will support the overall management of hotel operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, operational efficiency, and team leadership. Your energetic approach and strong hospitality management skills will drive the success of our property, fostering a welcoming environment for guests and staff alike. You will oversee daily operations, coordinate departments, and implement strategies to maximize revenue while maintaining high standards of service. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional eager to lead with enthusiasm and expertise in a fast-paced hotel setting.

The property is currently using Stay PMS.

Responsibilities

Assist in managing all aspects of hotel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage, and maintenance departments
Supervise and motivate hospitality teams to deliver outstanding guest services, ensuring high levels of guest satisfaction and positive reviews
Oversee revenue management strategies to optimize occupancy rates and maximize profitability through effective pricing and promotional initiatives
Manage hospitality operations budgets by controlling expenses, analyzing financial reports, and implementing cost-saving measures without compromising quality
Lead human resources functions such as hiring, training, performance evaluations, and employee development to build a strong, cohesive team
Ensure compliance with hotel policies, safety standards, health regulations, and legal requirements across all departments
Handle guest relations issues promptly and professionally to resolve complaints and enhance overall guest experience
Coordinate night audit procedures to ensure accurate financial reporting and smooth overnight operations
Utilize multilingual or bilingual skills to communicate effectively with diverse guests and staff from various cultural backgrounds
Implement front desk best practices including managing multi-line phone systems, phone etiquette, and efficient check-in/check-out processes

Qualifications

Proven supervising experience within the hospitality industry or hotel management environment
Strong background in hospitality management, hotel operations, or related fields with demonstrated leadership skills
Knowledge of revenue management principles and managing hospitality operations budgets effectively
Excellent customer service skills with a passion for creating memorable guest experiences
Experience in managing hospitality teams across multiple departments such as front desk, housekeeping, food service, or concierge services
Familiarity with human resources practices including hiring, training, performance management, and employee relations
Ability to handle financial operations like budgeting, night audit procedures, and cost control measures confidently
Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable for engaging with diverse clientele and staff members
Previous experience is a plus; familiarity with multi-line phone systems and phone etiquette is preferred
Strong leadership qualities combined with excellent communication skills to motivate teams and foster a positive work environment
