Full Job Description

Tool & Die Maker. This position requires previous experience as a die toolmaker forming dies; semi-permanent dies; and completing layout work. This position should be familiar with short run stamping tooling through progressive dies.

Some duties and responsibilities of this position are:

1. Plans, designs, constructs, or repairs a wide variety of intricate and complicated tools, dies, jigs, gauges, fixtures, to close tolerances.

2. Performs some difficult development work. Constructs complex units where design is available.

3. Selects allowances and devises mechanism detail. Does skilled fitting, timing, and adjusting.

4. Performs difficult tool room machine operations. This includes CAD/KEY, CNC lathe and other technologies (as these technologies exist or arise) required to perform tool room operations.

5. Works from complicated drawings and sketches. Uses advanced shop mathematics and all types of precision measuring instruments. Requires high degree of experience and trade skill and thorough knowledge of machine shop practice.

This is a union position. Union employees must work overtime according to the Collective Bargaining Agreement. Employees can work overtime during the weekdays and/or on Saturday if needed.

Boker's requires a pre-employment Physical, Drug Screening, and Background check upon regular employment. Boker's offers a competitive benefits package.

PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required while working; Approved safety glasses , hearing protection and steel-toed footwear. Safety glasses and hearing protection provided by employer. Boker's has a program for funding towards prescription safety glasses and steel-toed footwear.

Pay: Up to $42.00 per hour
