Compensation: $115,000 – $130,000 Annually (DOE) + Bonus Potential

As our national project portfolio continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to support large-scale data center construction projects and provide leadership throughout all phases of project execution.
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Electrical Project Manager with a strong background in industrial electrical construction and mission-critical infrastructure. This role is ideal for a professional who can effectively lead projects from preconstruction through commissioning and turnover while managing schedules, budgets, manpower, procurement, client relationships, and project documentation.
The successful candidate will have a proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, coordinate field operations, and drive projects to successful completion while maintaining strict safety, quality, and financial standards.
This is a National Traveling Project Manager position supporting data center and industrial construction projects throughout the United States. Candidates must be willing to travel extensively based on project requirements.
Essential ResponsibilitiesProject Leadership & Execution
- Manage electrical construction projects from preconstruction through final turnover and closeout
- Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules to ensure milestones and deadlines are achieved
- Oversee project budgets, forecasting, cost controls, labor planning, and resource allocation
- Monitor project profitability and implement corrective actions when necessary
- Coordinate project execution with clients, general contractors, field leadership, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors
- Lead project meetings and provide consistent progress updates to stakeholders and executive leadership
- Identify project risks and develop proactive solutions to maintain schedule and budget performance
- Manage project procurement activities, material tracking, subcontractor coordination, and contract administration
- Support project commissioning, turnover, and final documentation requirements
Field Operations & Technical Oversight
Provide leadership and oversight for electrical installations involving:
- EMT, IMC, Rigid, and PVC conduit systems
- Cable tray and basket tray systems
- Bus duct installations
- Large feeder and branch circuit installations
- Power distribution systems
- Switchgear and switchboards
- Transformers
- Motor control systems
- Equipment terminations
- Low-voltage systems
- Controls systems
- Data center electrical infrastructure
- Mission-critical electrical systems
Documentation & Project Controls
- Review and interpret blueprints, specifications, electrical drawings, schematics, and construction documents
- Ensure compliance with NEC requirements, project specifications, and applicable codes and standards
- Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, punch lists, and project documentation
- Maintain accurate project records, progress reports, safety documentation, cost reports, and closeout packages
- Utilize project management and construction software to track project performance and documentation
Client & Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with owners, clients, general contractors, and project stakeholders
- Participate in preconstruction planning and project strategy discussions
- Support business development efforts through successful project delivery and customer satisfaction
- Represent Byers Industrial Services professionally in all project and client interactions
Required Qualifications
- Minimum five (5) years of Electrical Project Management experience
- Strong background in industrial, commercial, mission-critical, or data center electrical construction
- Experience managing multi-million-dollar electrical construction projects
- Thorough understanding of electrical construction means and methods
- Extensive knowledge of:
- Power distribution systems
- Electrical equipment installations
- Conduit systems
- Cable tray systems
- Construction sequencing and scheduling
- NEC requirements and electrical codes
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, blueprints, and schematics
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, estimating, and cost control
- Strong understanding of contract administration and subcontractor management
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability and willingness to travel nationwide
Preferred Qualifications
- Data Center construction experience strongly preferred
- Previous experience as an Electrician, Foreman, Superintendent, General Foreman, or Assistant Project Manager
- Experience with:
- Procore
- Bluebeam
- Primavera P6
- HeavyBid
- Other project management and scheduling platforms
- Experience managing commissioning and turnover activities
- Familiarity with mission-critical electrical infrastructure and commissioning processes
Travel Requirements
Travel is a mandatory requirement for this position.
This is a National Project Manager role supporting projects throughout the United States. Candidates must be willing and able to travel extensively based on project demands and project durations.
