As our firm continues to grow, we're looking for an Investment Strategy & Portfolio Associate who is excited to build a long-term career in wealth management and investment strategy.
This role is more than investment operations—it is an opportunity to become a key contributor to the firm's investment philosophy, portfolio management process, and future growth. Working alongside our Director of Investments & Planning and Investment Committee, you'll help research investment opportunities, improve portfolio management processes, and support the implementation of sophisticated investment strategies for our clients.
At the same time, you'll become cross-trained in investment operations, allowing you to provide critical support during periods of increased client activity while helping ensure the firm operates efficiently and seamlessly.

What You Will Do
Support the Investment Committee
● Partner with the Director of Investments & Planning on strategic investment initiatives.
● Prepare investment research, meeting materials, and supporting analysis for Investment Committee discussions.
● Evaluate investment opportunities including:
○ Separately Managed Accounts (SMAs)
○ Alternative investments
○ Private Equity offerings
○ Option strategies
○ New portfolio solutions and investment platforms
● Monitor market trends and investment research.
● Track Investment Committee initiatives and help ensure projects move forward efficiently.
● Assist with implementation of approved investment strategies across client portfolios.
Help Shape the Future of Portfolio Management
● Support projects that improve how the firm manages and serves its growing book of business.
● Assist with portfolio reviews, reporting, and investment analysis.
● Help identify opportunities to improve consistency, scalability, and operational excellence.
● Create reports and dashboards that provide meaningful investment insights.
● Participate in strategic projects that strengthen the firm's long-term investment capabilities.
Support Investment Operations
● Become proficient in the firm's investment operations processes.
● Provide operational support during periods of increased client activity.
● Assist with account maintenance, money movement requests, and investment workflows when needed.
● Work closely with our Investment Operations team to ensure exceptional client service.
● Help improve workflows and identify opportunities for greater efficiency.
Improve Technology & Processes
● Leverage technology to improve reporting, workflows, and investment operations.
● Help document standard operating procedures and best practices.
● Maintain accurate investment records and internal documentation.
● Support automation initiatives that allow advisors to spend more time serving clients.
Collaborate Across the Firm
● Partner with advisors, planners, operations professionals, and leadership.
● Communicate proactively and effectively with team members.
● Manage priorities independently while keeping leadership informed.

Qualifications
Required
● Minimum of three years of experience in wealth management, financial planning, investment operations, investment management, or a related financial services role.
● Series 7 license (or willingness to obtain within an agreed-upon timeframe).
● Series 66 (or equivalent securities registration).
● Strong understanding of investment products and portfolio management principles.
● Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
● Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
● Exceptional attention to detail.
● High level of ownership, professionalism, and accountability.
● Proficiency with Microsoft Office and financial technology platforms.
Preferred
● Progress toward—or commitment to pursuing—a professional designation such as CFP®, CFA®, CIMA®, CPWA®, or another investment-related credential.
● Experience supporting investment committees or portfolio management teams.
● Familiarity with Separately Managed Accounts (SMAs), alternatives, options strategies, and advanced investment solutions.
● Experience working in a comprehensive wealth management or Northwestern Mutual environment.
