Full Job Description

Job Overview
The Staff Accountant supports the Controller in the managing to day to day accounting functions for corporate and assigned client companies. This role is responsible for cash management, account reconciliations, journal entries, financial reporting and compliance related activities. The Staff Accountant prepares accurate and timely financial statements, maintains supporting documentation, prepares audits and assists with tax filings and ensures adherence to established accounting principles and internal controls. Also, serves as backup to payroll, AP and AR.

Responsibilities

Maintaining financial records and general ledgers including journal entries

Reconciling bank statements and perform related cash management functions

Assisting with accounts payable and receivable

Assisting with payroll and compliance documentation

Supporting audits and financial reviews

Performing other related accounting and administrative tasks as assigned

Experience and Qualifications:

Degree in Accounting or other related field preferred

At least 2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience

Must demonstrate proficient computer skills to include: Windows, Microsoft and general ledger software.

Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work as a team player.

Pay: $44,096.00 - $63,336.00 per year
