THE ATMOSPHERE
The Easterly St. Thomas is a waterfront dining oasis offering innovative craft cocktails and wood-fired cuisine representative of the rustic Caribbean. The menu is ocean-to-table focused and utilizes locally grown produce and local flavors to compliment the dishes. The Easterly offers one of the Virgin Island’s most robust beverage programs with unique handcrafted cocktails, twists on Caribbean favorites, and an extensive list of craft beers & wine. Tucked away in an oasis of palm trees and rich greenery, the restaurant exudes a Bohemian-island vibe, and offers a social, vibrant and interactive dining experience.

We’re seeking dynamic, self-motivated and hospitality-driven waitstaff who are passionate about food, beverage, and creating exceptional guest experiences. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, team-focused environment, solves problems with grace, brings professionalism, a sense of fun, and enjoys working alongside a large team to improve performance and increase retention. We’re looking for enthusiastic, ambitious, and humble staff that want to be a part of The Easterly culture.

BALANCED HOSPITALITY
The Easterly brings a fresh, vibrant take on coastal Caribbean dining—where tropical, bohemian vibes meet elevated experiences. This concept is not just a restaurant – but a destination that blends music, sunshine, innovation, and top-tier hospitality into unforgettable moments. We’re laid-back but dialed-in. Professional but never stuffy. Every guest is welcomed like family—and we take that seriously.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Curate the vibe. You’re the director of the guest’s entire journey from the first sip to the final bite
Bring the energy. Deliver fast, friendly, and deeply thoughtful service that makes guests feel like regulars on day one. You own their dining experience.
Speak fluently on ingredients, sourcing, allergens, menu, and preparation to confidently guide guest selections.
Setting the stage: Executing flawless opening and closing duties to guarantee seamless daily operations.
Anticipatory hospitality: Proactively manage guests needs without interrupting their flow.
Mark, clear, and reset according to the pacing of the menu and match the kitchen’s culinary rhythm.
Keep the space crisp, clean, and clutter-free across all guest-facing and back-of-house spaces.
Prioritize professional, respectful, and open communication with all team members.
Stay ahead of the rush. Prep your stations, maintain organization, and communicate effectively so you’re never caught off guard during service.
Partner with management promptly to resolve any guest feedback or operational challenges.
Navigate the POS efficiently and accurately for efficient order and payment processing. Deliver accurate billing to close the guest experience on a high note.
Show up to show out. Look sharp, follow the dress code, and bring your best self to every shift.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

A flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and lunch shifts.
The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Able to work well with others.
Candidates must be punctual, reliable, self-motivated and extremely detail oriented.
2+ years of serving experience.
Must have strong food and beverage knowledge.
Strong attention to small details.
Uncompromising work ethic with a relish for new challenges.
