We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Experienced Seamstress / Tailor to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will bring garments to life through expert sewing, garment construction, and tailoring skills. Your craftsmanship will ensure each piece meets high standards of quality, fit, and style, delighting our customers and elevating our brand. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate sewing professional eager to showcase their talent in a vibrant fashion retail environment. You will work closely with customers and team members to deliver personalized, expertly crafted clothing alterations and custom pieces that make a lasting impression.

Responsibilities

Interpret design sketches, patterns, and customer specifications to create or alter garments with precision and care
Operate sewing machines efficiently, ensuring consistent stitch quality and durability across all projects
Construct garments from start to finish, including cutting fabric, sewing seams, fitting, and finishing details
Perform fittings with customers to ensure optimal fit and comfort, making adjustments as needed
Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all tools and materials are properly stored and maintained
Communicate clearly with customers about project timelines, options, and any necessary adjustments
Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards

Requirements

Proven experience as a seamstress or tailor in a retail or custom tailoring environment
Strong knowledge of garment construction techniques and sewing machine operation
Ability to read and interpret patterns, measurements, and technical drawings accurately
Excellent sewing skills including hand stitching, machine sewing, hemming, and finishing techniques
Familiarity with basic math for measurements, pattern adjustments, and fabric calculations
Experience working within fashion retail settings is highly desirable
Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally

Manee’s Tailoring in Redmill Commons is looking for an experienced seamstress / tailor for full-time employment. This job is commission based, meaning you can make as much as you want depending on the workload you take. We have a strong team of experienced seamstress / tailors and are looking to hire one additional employee. We are looking for someone who has a good attitude, works well in a team, and is a reliable employee. At Manee’s, our reputation is everything and we hold ourselves highly to do a good and proper job on every item that is brought into the store.

This job is commission based, so there is no specific pay range. Your pay will be based on how much work you want to do!
