Full Job Description

Position Summary

The Marketing Director is responsible for leading and executing all marketing efforts for

Soccer City 1852 Visalia and 1852 Brew Co. This is a hands-on, solo leadership role

responsible for creating compelling visual content, maintaining brand consistency,

planning and promoting events, managing digital communications, and telling the story

of our organization. The Marketing Director will develop photography, videography,

graphic design, website content, social media, merchandise, and email marketing while

coordinating outside marketing vendors and creative partners. This position reports

directly to the General Manager and works closely with all departments to ensure every

marketing initiative reflects the company's mission of uniting community through sport

while celebrating soccer, craft beer, and the culture of Visalia and Tulare County.

Essential Functions

1. Serve as the primary marketing professional for all Soccer City 1852 Visalia and 1852

Brew Co. marketing initiatives.

2. Create high-quality photography and videography for daily operations, events,

leagues, tournaments, brewery promotions, and community partnerships.

3. Produce and edit engaging video content, reels, interviews, promotional campaigns,

and storytelling pieces.

4. Design digital and print graphics using Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator or similar

design platforms.

5. Develop event logos, promotional artwork, signage, menus, merchandise graphics,

and branded collateral.

6. Manage all social media platforms, including content calendars, scheduling,

engagement, analytics, and reporting.

7. Maintain and update company websites to ensure current, accurate, and engaging

information.

8. Develop and distribute email marketing campaigns and promotional newsletters.

9. Assist in planning, marketing, and executing company events from concept through

completion.

10. Protect and maintain brand consistency across all customer touchpoints.

11. Understand and communicate the company's brand narrative, mission, and values.

12. Coordinate and manage outside photographers, videographers, designers, agencies,

printers, and other marketing contractors.

13. Develop marketing plans and campaigns while managing approved budgets.

14. Measure campaign performance and provide reports, recommendations, and

updates to the General Manager.

15. Collaborate with leadership and department managers to support operational and

revenue goals.

16. Design and coordinate branded merchandise and apparel.

17. Maintain an organized digital asset library including photos, videos, templates, and

brand standards.

18. Serve as Manager on Duty when requested and assist operations during high-

volume events.

19. Represent the company professionally within the community and at partner events.

20. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

1. Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Digital Media,

Business, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.

2. Strong photography, videography, editing, and visual storytelling skills.

3. Proficiency with Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, Lightroom, or

similar creative software.

4. Experience managing websites and content management systems.

5. Strong understanding of social media strategy, analytics, Search Engine Optimization

(SEO), Search Engine Marketing (SEM), and paid/organic digital campaigns.

6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

7. Strong project management, organization, and time management skills.

8. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.

9. Ability to prioritize multiple projects and consistently meet deadlines.

10. Experience managing budgets and vendor relationships.

11. Knowledge of branding, marketing strategy, and customer engagement.

12. Knowledge of soccer, craft beer, and the Visalia/Tulare County community is

strongly preferred.

13. Creative thinker with attention to detail and a solutions-oriented mindset.

14. Ability to maintain confidentiality and a professional image.

Work Schedule & Expectations

 Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business demands

require.

 Availability during major events, tournaments, festivals, watch parties, and

community functions.

 Willingness to assist operational staff and Managers on Duty when needed.

Environmental Conditions

 Combination of office, brewery, tap room, soccer facility, and outdoor event

environments.

 Frequent computer work and content editing.

 Regular exposure to crowds, noise, weather, and fast-paced event environments.

Physical Requirements

 Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds.

 Ability to operate camera, computer, and production equipment.

 Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
