SUMMARY
To help direct activities involved in the shipment and receiving of materials.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Perform all clerical type duties such as: type bills of lading and related forms, photograph outgoing shipments, prepares loaders check list, signs receipts and freight bills, prepares receiving reports and insures shipments conform to shipping orders.
Works with trucking companies to book loads for shipment.
Operates and is responsible for miscellaneous office and materials handling equipment such as computer, calculator, camera, and two wheel truck.
Establish and maintain good working relations with employees.
Has a thorough knowledge of all operations and equipment as well as the various types and sizes of plastic pipe products.
Completes daily loading tickets for Shipping and Receiving departments.
Teaches, advocates, and uses safe working practices and reports hazardous conditions at all times.
Maintains good housekeeping program at all times.
Fills out miscellaneous reports as necessary and conducts periodic inventory checks as required.
Maintains efficient use of warehouse and storage facilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or G. E. D., 1-2 years college or equivalent experience. 3-5 years in related field. Must be qualified on subordinate jobs, material and equipment.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Possess intermediate knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook. Internet/Intranet and AS400 experience preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as adding, subtraction, multiplying, dividing, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Lift 26-50 pounds and carry it up to 30 feet.

Ability to feel objects, such as textures, size and shape and to determine temperature by touching of skin, primarily by that of finger tips.
Ability to grasp office utensils and use them in accordance with a safe working manner so as not to injure oneself or fellow employees.
