Production Planner III

Location: Carlsbad, CA 92011
Job Type: Contract (12 Months)
Schedule: Day 5x8-Hour (08:00 - 17:00) (Onsite)
Pay Rate: $35-$38/hour on W2 (No Benefits)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Production Planner III to support manufacturing operations by developing production plans, ensuring material availability, and driving data-driven planning decisions. This role is ideal for professionals with strong production planning, MRP, and advanced Excel expertise who thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain production plans to meet customer demand and manufacturing schedules.
Monitor and maintain planning parameters including safety stock, reorder points, lead times, lot sizes, and MRP settings.
Analyze production, inventory, and supply chain data to identify trends, risks, and process improvement opportunities.
Create reports and dashboards to support Production Planning and Operations.
Collaborate with Manufacturing, Purchasing, Warehouse, and Supply Chain teams to resolve material and capacity constraints.
Support root cause analysis for production shortages, planning exceptions, and late orders.
Maintain accurate planning master data within ERP systems.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives through data analysis and process optimization.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) or Supply Chain Management.
Minimum 3 years of experience in production planning, supply chain management, or purchasing.
Strong understanding of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and production planning principles.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including:
Pivot Tables
Power Query
Advanced formulas
Data analysis
Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with SAP (S/4HANA or ECC), especially PP, MM, or Supply Chain modules.
APICS CPIM Certification.
MBA.
Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other data visualization tools.
SQL experience, including writing and troubleshooting queries.
Experience with Palantir Foundry or similar analytics platforms.
