Full Job Description

Job Summary

The Accounting Clerk supports the accounting department by performing a variety of clerical and accounting tasks. This role is responsible for reconciling and creating credit card deposits and various other accounting support activities

Key Responsibilities

Enter and process Visa/Mastercard credit card batches to create daily deposit in a timely manner
Reconcile and record John Deere credit card deposits
Research and correct credit card transactions associated with Visa Mastercard or John Deere credit card deposits to ensure records stay up to date.
Backup for daily cash and check deposits and reconciliations.
Maintain accurate and organized accounting records and supporting documentation
Communicate with internal departments regarding issues and corrections regarding cash/check or credit card transactions
Perform other accounting and clerical duties as assigned

Requirements

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in accounting or related field preferred
1–3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred
Basic understanding of accounting principles (debits, credits, and general ledger)
Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy
Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Attention to detail and problem-solving ability

Work Environment

Office-based position at our Administration building in Woodway, TX
May involve extended periods of computer use and data entry
