Operations Manager |Wadena, MN | Direct Hire | 1st Shift | $80,000-$95,000 DOE

Are you a hands-on manufacturing leader who thrives on improving operations, developing teams, and driving continuous improvement?

We're looking for an experienced Operations Manager to lead manufacturing operations for a well-established U.S. manufacturer known for producing high-quality consumer products. This is an opportunity to make an immediate impact by leading day-to-day production while helping shape the future operational strategy of a growing organization.

What You'll Do

As the Operations Manager, you'll oversee all aspects of manufacturing operations, including:

Lead daily manufacturing operations focused on safety, quality, productivity, and cost control
Provide hands-on leadership and coaching to production supervisors and manufacturing teams
Drive Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
Improve operational efficiency, reduce waste, scrap, and rework
Oversee production scheduling to maximize on-time delivery and capacity utilization
Manage inventory accuracy and materials flow throughout the facility
Partner with purchasing to support sourcing strategies and supplier performance
Monitor KPIs and implement data-driven operational improvements
Collaborate with maintenance to maximize equipment reliability
Develop supervisors and build a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement
Partner cross-functionally with Customer Service, Sales, Finance, and Product Development

Qualifications

We're looking for someone with:

10+ years of progressive manufacturing operations leadership experience
5+ years managing manufacturing operations and at least one of the following:
Production Planning
Procurement
Inventory Management
Experience in a high-mix, low-volume or custom manufacturing environment preferred
Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies
Experience leading cross-functional manufacturing teams
Background in supply chain, purchasing, inventory optimization, and production scheduling
Experience using ERP systems (Microsoft Business Central experience is a plus)
Strong analytical skills with experience developing KPIs and operational dashboards
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred (equivalent experience considered)
