About the role
The Sr. Administrator, People Systems is responsible for the administration, configuration, optimization, and continuous improvement of HR technology platforms that support Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, Employee Engagement, and Performance Management processes. This role serves as the functional subject matter expert for assigned HR systems, partnering closely with HR Centers of Excellence, business leaders, IT, and external vendors to deliver scalable technology solutions that support business objectives, enhance the associate experience, and ensure data integrity across the employee lifecycle.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with a deep understanding of HR processes and a passion for leveraging technology to improve operational efficiency, automation, reporting, and user adoption. Success in this role is defined by proactively identifying opportunities to optimize HR technology, delivering reliable and user-friendly system solutions, strengthening data quality, reducing manual effort, and enabling HR teams, managers, and associates to work more effectively through continuous process and system improvements.
This is a hybrid remote role, offering a flexible work arrangement out of our Raleigh, NC office, with an in-office requirement of two days per week.
You Will

Administer, configure, maintain, and optimize HR applications supporting Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, Employee Engagement, and Performance Management.

Manage system workflows, business rules, permissions, security roles, templates, forms, and user access to ensure effective and secure system functionality.

Monitor system performance, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and partner with IT and external vendors to resolve concerns in a timely manner.

Maintain system documentation, configuration records, process maps, and standard operating procedures to support operational consistency and knowledge sharing.

Serve as a trusted functional consultant to HR Centers of Excellence and business stakeholders, evaluating business requirements and designing scalable system solutions that improve operational effectiveness.

Lead continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to optimize HR technology, automate business processes, improve data integrity, and enhance the overall associate experience.

Support the administration and execution of annual and cyclical HR programs, including performance reviews, engagement surveys, learning initiatives, and recruiting campaigns.

Champion HR technology best practices by evaluating new capabilities, recommending system enhancements, and driving adoption of platform functionality across the organization.

Ensure data accuracy through audits, validation processes, system testing, and ongoing monitoring while promoting strong data governance practices.

Design, develop, and maintain standard and ad hoc reports, dashboards, and analytics that provide actionable insights and support strategic HR decision-making.

Partner with HR leaders to assess reporting and analytics needs, translating business requirements into scalable reporting solutions and meaningful workforce insights.

Lead functional testing, validation, and deployment activities for system updates, releases, enhancements, and integrations, ensuring quality, business readiness, and minimal operational disruption.

Serve as the primary functional liaison between HR, IT, and external vendors to drive issue resolution, prioritize enhancement requests, and support the ongoing HR technology roadmap.

Evaluate emerging system functionality, tools, and technology capabilities, recommending enhancements that improve efficiency, scalability, and user experience.

Lead or serve as the functional lead on HR technology projects, system implementations, upgrades, and process improvement initiatives.

Serve as the functional subject matter expert for HR applications, providing advanced troubleshooting, resolving complex system issues, and managing escalations.

Develop and maintain training materials, user guides, job aids, and knowledge base resources to support ongoing system utilization.

Deliver training, coaching, and support to HR teams, managers, and associates to drive system adoption and maximize platform effectiveness.

Support change management initiatives related to HR technology enhancements, new functionality, and process improvements.
About You
-
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

5+ years of progressive experience administering, configuring, and optimizing HR technology, HRIS, or HR Operations systems.

Hands-on experience configuring and maintaining HR applications supporting Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, Employee Engagement, or Performance Management.

Strong understanding of HR processes and workflows across the employee lifecycle.

Proven ability to evaluate business requirements and translate them into scalable system configurations, process improvements, and technical solutions.

Advanced proficiency in reporting, data analysis, troubleshooting, system testing, and root cause analysis.

Demonstrated experience leading system enhancements, implementations, upgrades, or cross-functional HR technology initiatives.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent communication, consulting, and collaboration skills with the ability to effectively partner with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels.

Experience supporting platforms such as Jobvite, Culture Amp, Absorb LMS, Dayforce, or similar HR technologies preferred.

Knowledge of system integrations, APIs, data feeds, and HR technology ecosystems preferred.

Experience supporting annual HR programs, including performance management cycles, employee engagement surveys, learning initiatives, and recruiting initiatives preferred.

Project management, implementation, or change management experience preferred.

Experience working within a multi-site or rapidly growing organization preferred.
