Job Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and safety-conscious Truck Driver to join our dynamic team. The Truck Driver is responsible for the safe, timely, and efficient transportation of materials, products, and equipment to customers, suppliers, and company locations. This position operates commercial vehicles in compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations while maintaining high standards of safety, professionalism, and customer service. The role primarily involves local driving assignments, with occasional over-the-road trips to support business needs.

Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

Transportation & Delivery Operations

Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles in accordance with all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company policies
Transport materials, products, and equipment to designated locations while ensuring on-time delivery and accurate documentation
Plan and follow assigned routes while adapting to traffic, weather, and other changing conditions
Support flexible scheduling needs, including occasional over-the-road trips, typically occurring approximately once per month
Communicate delivery status, delays, and route changes to appropriate personnel

Vehicle Safety & Compliance

Conduct pre-trip, post-trip, and periodic vehicle inspections to verify equipment is operating safely
Secure and inspect loads to ensure compliance with safety requirements and prevent damage during transport
Adhere to all traffic laws, safety procedures, and company policies
Report vehicle maintenance concerns, mechanical issues, accidents, or safety hazards promptly
Maintain cleanliness and general condition of assigned vehicles and equipment

Documentation & Customer Service

Maintain accurate driver logs, inspection reports, shipping documents, and other required records
Verify load information and delivery documentation for completeness and accuracy
Provide professional and courteous service when interacting with customers, suppliers, and coworkers
Assist with loading and unloading materials as required
Perform other related duties as assigned

Competencies & Skills

Valid CDL Class A license with an acceptable driving record
Knowledge of DOT regulations, commercial vehicle operation, and transportation safety practices
Ability to perform vehicle inspections and identify potential mechanical or safety concerns
Familiarity with shipping documentation, driver logs, and related transportation records
Ability to safely operate commercial vehicles under varying road, traffic, and weather conditions
Strong commitment to workplace and roadway safety
Dependable, responsible, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
Effective time management and organizational skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in completing documentation
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to adapt to changing schedules, routes, and operational priorities
Professional demeanor when interacting with customers, suppliers, and coworkers
Sound judgment and problem-solving abilities

Required Education and Experience

Valid CDA Class A license
Previous commercial driving experience preferred
Experience operating tractor-trailer equipment preferred

Pay: $25.00 per hour
