About Easy Stay
Easy Stay Homes owns and operates ~100 furnished short-term and mid-term rentals across Metro Detroit — from studio apartments to luxury single-family homes with pools, theaters, and gyms — with 50 more units in our construction pipeline. Our mission is to provide clean, comfortable, move-in-ready furnished homes while delivering a consistent 5-star experience through exceptional hospitality, systems, and operational excellence. We're scaling to 300+ units by 2030, and we're building the operations leadership team to get there.
The role
You will own everything in the field: housekeeping, maintenance, quality assurance, and the logistics operation running out of our new 9000 sq ft warehouse hub. Today, a busy day is 15–25 turnovers. Your job is to build a field operation that handles 50+ turnovers a day without breaking — and without requiring you on-site seven days a week to hold it together.
This is a builder's role, not a caretaker's role. You'll inherit a hardworking team and a system at its scaling ceiling, and you'll rebuild it: a lead housekeeper program with photo-verified quality control, a centralized laundry and supply hub with daily delivery routes, and a maintenance team that fixes problems before guests find them.
What you'll own
- Daily turnover operations. The morning turn board, crew assignments, and same-day readiness for every check-in, every day.
- The team. Hire, train, schedule, and lead ~20+ housekeepers, lead housekeepers, maintenance technicians, and hub staff. You own ground-team hiring end to end (headcount and budget approved by ownership).
- Quality assurance. Roll out and manage our lead housekeeper program: photo-verified checklists in Breezeway for apartments, physical inspections for luxury homes, and randomized audits to keep standards honest.
- Maintenance. Manage maintenance techs handling repairs, preventive maintenance, and pool/spa upkeep across the portfolio; coordinate subcontractors when jobs exceed in-house capability.
- The hub. Stand up and run our centralized laundry and supply operation: par-level inventory, per-turn kit packing, and daily runner routes delivering clean linens and supplies to every turnover — and design the routing system that makes it work.
- Cost and efficiency. Own cost per turnover and drive it down through better routing, staffing models, and the hub — without sacrificing quality scores.
Schedule
This is an on-site leadership role. Expect 6 days/week during your ramp (roughly the first year), built around the turnover calendar — weekends are our busiest days. A core part of your job is building the team and systems that get you to a sustainable 5-day schedule.
You're probably a fit if you have
- 5+ years leading field/site operations teams of 30+ — multifamily property operations, hotel housekeeping or facilities leadership, commercial cleaning operations, or large-scale STR operations
- A track record of hiring, training, and retaining teams
- Experience building or running logistics: routes, inventory, par levels, fleet
- Comfort with operations software (Breezeway or similar a plus) and making decisions from data
- A builder's mentality — you get energized by "design this system," not just "run this system"
- Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and ability to be hands-on across Metro Detroit properties
Nice to have
- Commercial laundry or linen-service operations experience
- Basic maintenance/trades knowledge; pool & spa (CPO certification a plus)
- Bilingual English/Spanish
Compensation & growth
- $80,000–$95,000 base salary, depending on experience
- Performance Bonus
- Company vehicle
- PTO
- Health Insurance
- Growth path: as we scale toward 300+ units, this role grows with the portfolio — you'll be building and leading a significantly larger field organization, reporting to our incoming General Manager
