Contract Position (Grant-Funded)
Term: July 2026 – December 31, 2027

Organization

United Way of Youngstown and the Mahoning Valley serves as the backbone organization for the Mahoning Valley Regional Education Partnership (REP), a cross-sector collaborative established under Ohio Senate Bill 208. The REP brings together education, workforce, health, early childhood, community-based organizations, and civic leaders to improve educational attainment and economic mobility outcomes across the prenatal-to-workforce continuum.

Position Summary

The Regional Education Partnership (REP) Coordinator is a grant-funded contract position responsible for leading the implementation of Ohio Senate Bill 208 within the Mahoning Valley Regional Education Partnership. This position serves as the primary coordinator, facilitator, and administrator of the REP, ensuring alignment among partners, achievement of grant benchmarks, compliance with reporting requirements, and execution of collective impact strategies.

This position is funded through a grant award that ends on December 31, 2027. Employment is contingent upon continued grant funding and will conclude at the end of the grant period unless additional funding is secured.

The REP Coordinator will work independently and collaboratively with regional stakeholders to advance shared goals related to education, workforce development, health, and economic mobility.

Essential Responsibilities

Partnership Leadership & Coordination

Serve as the designated representative and primary point of contact for the Mahoning Valley REP.
Convene and facilitate meetings with cross-sector partners, including education, workforce, early childhood, health, business, and community organizations.
Maintain strong relationships with required partner organizations and recruit additional stakeholders as needed.
Ensure alignment of partnership activities with the REP's shared vision, theory of action, and strategic priorities.
Coordinate steering committee meetings, workgroups, and community engagement activities.

Program Management & Grant Compliance

Lead implementation of all Ohio REP and SB208 requirements.
Develop and monitor partnership benchmarks, work plans, timelines, and deliverables.
Participate in required coaching sessions, Communities of Practice, statewide convenings, and technical assistance opportunities.
Manage project documentation and maintain records necessary for grant compliance.
Oversee grant-funded activities and monitor expenditures in accordance with approved budgets.

Data & Continuous Improvement

Coordinate collection, analysis, and reporting of regional educational and workforce indicators.
Assist partners in identifying priority milestones and outcome measures.
Organize and facilitate at least one regional Data Walk to engage stakeholders in data-informed planning and decision-making.
Utilize data to support continuous improvement and collective impact strategies.

Reporting & Communications

Prepare biannual progress reports and required fiscal documentation.
Develop presentations, reports, meeting materials, and stakeholder communications.
Communicate progress, challenges, and opportunities to local leadership, funders, and state partners.
Represent the REP at community meetings, conferences, and regional events.

Sustainability & Capacity Building

Support development of governance structures, policies, and procedures.
Assist with resource development and sustainability planning.
Maintain institutional knowledge and document partnership processes to ensure long-term continuity.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in public administration, education, social services, community development, nonprofit management, or related field.
Minimum of three years of experience in collective impact initiatives, community engagement, partnership development, project management, or related work.
Demonstrated ability to facilitate collaboration among diverse stakeholders.
Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
Experience managing grants, contracts, budgets, or compliance requirements.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data management systems.

Work Schedule

Minimum commitment of 36 hours per week
Occasional evening meetings and regional travel required.
Attendance at required state and regional convenings required.

Contract Term

This is a grant-funded contract position beginning in 2026 and ending December 31, 2027. Continuation beyond December 31, 2027 is not guaranteed and is dependent upon future funding opportunities.
