Site Safety Representative
Syntax Safety Systems LLC is actively seeking qualified Safety Professionals with experience working on Large-Scale Data Center Construction projects to provide site safety management for Large MEP type Trade Partners.
Minimum Requirements: To be considered, all applicants must have at least: 3 years experience as a safety professional on a large scale Data Center Construction Projects, with CHST, OSHA 500, OSHA 30, NFPA 70 E, First Aid/CPR/AED.
You have an academic degree in safety, GSP or CHST along with all the minimum requirements listed above.

· Physical stamina to stand and travel regularly
· Ability to access heights via ladders or scaffolding. A significant amount of construction work takes place at heights above ground level which require the Project Safety Manager to be able to access the work to evaluate it.
·Must have PC experience in Windows environments, working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail, Web-enabled applications,and database software.
· Good recordkeeping abilities – the Construction Safety Manager must be able to maintain good records of all safety related activities.
· Good communications skills – the ability to communicate effectively both in the written and spoken word.
· Must possess and maintain exceptional work ethic as well as uphold company values and demand the highest standard of conduct from self and others.
· Must project a professional and polished image that inspires confidence and trust.

DUTIES & ESSENTIALJOB FUNCTIONS
- Evaluating and assessing job site in order to identify potential safety hazards, including such things as fall hazards, potential exposure to chemicals and materials, etc.
- Preparing and evaluating health and safety guidelines in order to minimize accidents, injuries or other damage.
- Providing safety training to company personnel.
- Conducting/Coordinating onsite safety meetings.
- Monitoring construction sites and ensuring compliance with project safety procedures as well as government regulations, acts and standards.
- Promoting proactive and preventative safety activities by observing, analyzing, and encouraging safe work behavior and correcting unsafe conditions.
- Consulting building codes divisions, governmental regulatory agencies and other emergency response agencies in order to ensure that the workplace is compliant with health, safety and environmental regulations.
- Investigating injuries and near misses and initiating necessary actions in order to ensure the situations are not repeated.
- Documenting trainings, meetings and investigations.
- Performing administrative tasks in support of the general purpose of the organization.
- Performing other duties as required by the position.
- Stop the Job immediately if imminent danger is presented by uncontrolled hazards and coordinate correction/resolution of hazard(s). Other inspections are done by request from employees, project management, department management, and OSHA Compliance and Consulting walkthroughs.
- Work with Project Manager to pre-determine needs for job and workers prior to job start through Job Hazard Analysis. Address needs for required certifications, project site orientation, safety training, or standards review to avoid delay and/or violations after job start.
- Participate in project required safety meetings associated with the project.
Performs other functions as may be directed by Site Safety Director.
- Job Type: Short Term/Contract 1099 (1 year).
Salary: $40.00 to $50.00/hour (Per Diem & Time and Half Overtime)
