We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Concrete Estimator to join our construction team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for concrete projects, ensuring competitive pricing while maintaining quality standards. Your expertise will help drive project success from initial bidding through project completion, contributing to our reputation for excellence in the construction industry. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, collaborate with talented professionals, and grow your career in construction estimating.

Responsibilities

Review project plans, specifications, and blueprints to develop precise concrete cost estimates.
Utilize estimating software such as Plan Swift to prepare detailed bids, proposals and take-offs.
Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and suppliers to negotiate pricing and secure favorable terms.
Prepare comprehensive bid packages that include material costs, labor estimates, equipment needs, and overheads etc.
Monitor project budgets and perform cost control analysis throughout the construction process.
Assist in contract negotiations and review contractual documents related to concrete scope of work.

Skills

Proficiency in construction estimating software such as Plan Swift.
Strong negotiation skills to secure competitive pricing and favorable contract terms.
Solid understanding of construction estimating principles specific to concrete, rebar and labor for general construction projects.
Experience with construction site assessments and managing cost control measures.
Knowledge of construction management practices, including contracts, project scheduling/values, submittals, and safety protocols.
Excellent communication skills to coordinate with clients, vendors, and internal teams effectively.
Background in construction site experience or hands-on involvement in concrete or heavy civil projects is highly desirable.
