Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and passionate Pet Sitter / Dog Walker to join our team .
As a Pet Sitter / Dog Walker, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of pets and provide them with the exercise and care they need. This is a great opportunity for individuals who love animals and enjoy spending time outdoors.
Positions/Availability
Morning Position 7-10am (at least 1-2hrs availability during this time)
Afternoon Position 11-3pm (at least 1-2hrs availability during this time)
Evening Position 4-6pm (at least 1-2hrs availability during this time)
Night Position 7-9pm (7-8pm arrival and finish by 9pm)
Select the time slots that work for you provided they match what we are looking for. We are looking for consistent availability.
Ex Mon-Fri with option to pick up weekends
OR
Sat/Sun with option to add some weekdays.
Time off gets requested in advance via our scheduling app
*Can combine positions/timeframes for more work/clients!
Ideal candidate could work Monday-Friday OR Saturday/Sunday plus or minus some weekdays
The more availability the more opportunities available.
Part time with potential for growth into more if desired or keep as part time / supplemental income
Responsibilities:
-Travel from client to client
- Walk dogs on a regular basis, ensuring they get the exercise they need
- Reinforce basic obedience training during walks
- Ensure the safety and well-being of the dogs in your care
- Clean up after dogs during walks
- Monitor dogs for any signs of distress or illness and report any concerns to the client/company
-Care for cats and other pets as instructed including but not limited to feeding, medication, providing fresh water, scooping litter box, attention and exercise, cleaning up after pets, etc…
- Follow specific instructions provided in our client/staff portal by pet owners regarding their pet's care
- Maintain accurate records of visits, including time spent and any notable observations via our easy to use client management system
Experience:
- Previous experience working with animals, such as in a kennel, pet sitting, or veterinary setting or other animal setting is preferred
- Knowledge of pet care and/or dog walking tools training techniques is a plus
- Ability to handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with pet owners
Requirements:
- Reliable and punctual
- Have a genuine love for animals and a desire to provide them with the best care possible
- Physical stamina to walk for extended periods of time and handle dogs of various sizes
- Ability to follow instructions and adhere to specific guidelines provided by pet owners/office.
Compensation:
We offer competitive per-visit compensation with opportunities to grow your schedule over time.
Per-Visit Compensation
- 15-minute visits: Starting at $9.00
- 20-minute visits: Starting at $10.00
- 30-minute visits: Starting at $10.50
- 45-minute visits: $12.00–$13.50
- 60-minute visits: $16.00–$18.00
Additional Certification Pay
Qualified Pet Care Specialists receive the equivalent of an additional $1.00/hour for each of the following certifications:
- Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT)
- Certified Dog Trainer (CDT)
- Fear Free Certified Professional
Examples of Actual Weekly Earnings from Our Team
Based on actual Furry Fellas payroll records, established Pet Care Specialists have earned approximately:
- 5–10 visits/week: $50–$140/week
- 10–15 visits/week: $130–$180/week
- 15–20 visits/week: $170–$250/week
- 20–30 visits/week: $250–$425/week
- 30–40 visits/week: $425–$500+/week
Visit lengths range from 15–60 minutes, with the average visit lasting approximately 30 minutes. Drive time between clients typically averages 5–15 minutes, depending on routing and service area.
Based on our actual payroll records, established Pet Care Specialists have averaged approximately $18–$20+/hour in total compensation. Actual earnings vary based on availability, service area, visit length, visit mix, gratuities, mileage reimbursement, holiday assignments, overnight services, certifications, and seasonal demand.

Part-Time Opportunity
This position is ideal for individuals seeking a long-term part-time opportunity. Most Pet Care Specialists complete approximately 10–25+ visits per week, with visit volume varying based on client demand, seasonality, service area, availability, and the number of recurring clients assigned. Opportunities to grow are available as additional clients are added. You can set your max number of visits per week.
