We are looking for a skilled Press Brake Operator to join our team and contribute to our mission of creating exceptional lighting fixtures.

Job Description:

As a Press Brake Set up Operator at Day-O-Lite , you will be responsible for operating and maintaining press brake machines to bend and shape metal components used in our lighting fixtures. Your precision and attention to detail will ensure that our products meet the highest standards of quality and accuracy.

Responsibilities:

Set up and operate press brake machines to bend, form, and straighten metal sheets and components according to specifications.
Read and interpret technical drawings, and work orders to determine machine setup and material requirements.
Select, position, and secure appropriate tooling and dies based on material type and thickness.
Perform quality checks and inspections on finished parts to ensure they meet design specifications and tolerances.
Make necessary adjustments to machine settings to correct issues and maintain product quality.
Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of press brake machines and tools to ensure optimal performance.
Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
Maintain accurate records of production activities, including quantities produced and machine maintenance logs.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Press Brake Operator or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting, technical drawings, and work orders.
Strong understanding of press brake machine operation, setup, and maintenance.
Knowledge of metal types, thicknesses, and bending properties.
Ability to use precision measuring tools, such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification is a plus.
