Full Job Description

CME’s Accounting Department is looking to add an Accounts Payable Clerk to our branch in Warwick, RI.

Responsibilities:

Record payable transactions, including verifying, classifying, and processing vendor invoices.
Verify and investigate discrepancies, if any, by reconciling vendor payable ledger to monthly vendor statements
Research and resolve discrepancies
Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending reminders and interfacing across departments.
Assist with month end accruals
Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Proven working experience as Accounts Payable Clerk.
Basic computer skills including familiarity with the Microsoft office products
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Experienced working in a dynamic fast-paced work environment
Team player who can effectively interact with management and collaborate with other departments in the organization
Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality

Physical requirements:

This position is required to go into the office located on the second floor
Ascending or descending exterior/interior stairwells and ramps (no elevator access)
Remaining in a stationary position standing or sitting for prolonged periods
Light work that may include moving objects up to 15 lbs.
The ability to safely move about to accomplish tasks or moving from one workstation to another.
