About the Position
Fee Simple Title & Escrow LLC is seeking an experienced Real Estate Paralegal to join our growing team. We are looking for someone who can confidently manage residential real estate transactions from contract through post-closing with minimal supervision.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and understands how to keep transactions moving while providing exceptional service to clients, attorneys, lenders, and real estate professionals.

Responsibilities
As our Real Estate Paralegal, you will:
- Manage real estate transactions from executed Purchase & Sales Agreement through issuance of the final title policy.
- Open and organize new files and order all necessary title work, municipal lien certificates, payoffs, HOA information, and other required documentation.
- Coordinate with buyers, sellers, lenders, attorneys, Realtors®, title underwriters, and other parties throughout each transaction.
- Review title commitments, deeds, mortgages, probate matters, trusts, LLC and corporate documents, easements, restrictions, and other title-related documents.
- Identify title issues and coordinate resolution prior to closing.
- Prepare deeds, settlement statements, affidavits, title documents, recording packages, and lender documents.
- Schedule and coordinate closings while ensuring all lender and title requirements have been satisfied.
- Verify wire instructions, identification requirements, notarizations, and executed documents.
- Handle post-closing responsibilities including recording documents, issuing title policies, lender packages, owner policies, and resolving outstanding matters.
- Maintain organized electronic files and accurate closing calendars.
Qualifications
Required:
- Previous experience handling residential real estate closings from start to finish.
- Strong understanding of title, escrow, and real estate closing procedures.
- Ability to independently manage multiple files and deadlines simultaneously.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Professional demeanor when communicating with attorneys, lenders, Realtors®, and clients.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Experience with any of the following is a plus:
- Commercial real estate transactions
- Refinances
- Private lending transactions
- Construction loans
- 1031 Exchanges
- Estate and probate transactions
- LLC and corporate transactions
- Foreclosures
Software Experience
Experience with one or more of the following is preferred:
- Qualia
- SoftPro
- RamQuest
- DocuSign
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Microsoft Outlook
- Adobe Acrobat
- E-Closing platforms
- Remote Online Notarization (RON) platforms

Compensation & Schedule
- Full-time
- In-office position
- Johnston, Rhode Island (office location may expand in the future)
- Up to $65,000 annually
- Paid bi-weekly
- 1099 Independent Contractor
- No benefits or stipend at this time
Hiring Process
- Initial interview conducted by our recruiting consultant.
