POSITION SUMMARY:
The Field Measure Technician is integral to our post-sale process and our customers’ satisfaction. A successful candidate will require attention to detail, thoroughness, time management and effective prioritization. The Field Measure Technician consistently maintains a positive attitude, proactively communicates, and solves challenges through critical thinking and teamwork. The Field Measure Technician will represent Home Solutions Midwest core values, making complete customer satisfaction their ultimate goal.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Conduct precise measurements of windows, doors, and sliding glass door openings at residential customer sites.
· Verify that orders align with installation specifications and ensure all required materials and labor are accurately documented in the purchase order.
· Provide accurate measurements and assessments to support the pricing process for labor materials.
· Perform pre-installation inspections to ensure site readiness and identify potential challenges.
· Proactively anticipate and address obstacles that could impact customer expectations, job costs, or code compliance; recommend effective solutions.
· Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, installation techniques, and construction best practices.
· Provide warehouse support as needed.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
· REQUIREMENTS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty independently and satisfactorily. Must be able to communicate effectively in both oral and written form and interface with all departments and customers. Must maintain professional and execute Home Solutions Midwest Brand requirements. Must be able to multi-task, be accurate, have good organizational skills and handle high levels of stress. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
· Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
· Proficiency in computer systems and ability to use digital tools for documentation and measurement recording.
· Customer-centric mindset with a commitment to providing excellent service.
· Strong time and project management skills to effectively handle multiple tasks.
· Ability to prioritize and stay organized in fast-paced environment.
· Must possess attention to detail
· Hold high standard of integrity
WORKING CONDITIONS:
· Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 75lbs or more
· Ability to sit/stand/stoop/kneel
· Operate power tools
· Regularly ascending/descending ladders or using equipment to work at elevated heights.
· Exposure to outdoor elements, including varying weather conditions.
· Potential encounters with household pets (cats, dogs) and other environmental factors (e.g., bees, insects).
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
