Full Job Description

H.F. Lenz Engineering, a nationally recognized Top 100 building & design engineering firm is seeking experienced Mechanical Engineers with an interest in HVAC system design and consulting engineering. We are seeking a Mechanical/HVAC Engineer for our office location in Middletown, CT.

What You'll Do:

· Apply principles of mechanical system design, focused in HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems.

· Perform engineering tasks related to mechanical/HVAC system design from design through construction management.

· Collaborate as part of the design team and utilize engineering design concepts.

· Become an expert with Autodesk Revit and Trane Trace applications.

· Perform engineering calculations, size and select mechanical equipment.

· Complete RFI's, submittals, engineering surveys and reports,.

· Conduct site observations and interact with clients, vendors and contractors.

What You'll Need:

· BS Degree in an accredited Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering program.

· FE/EIT Certification is preferred.

· Knowledge of 2D and 3D modeling, including AutoCAD and Revit.

· Proficiency with basic computer software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.

· A strong interest and desire to learn building systems design and construction.

· Demonstrated knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing and fire protection.

· Self-motivated with strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
