Full Job Description

MRI Technologist – Travel Assignment

Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Start Date: July 27, 2026
Schedule: Days, 4x10-hour shifts (40 hours/week)
Weekly Gross Pay: $2934

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dependable MRI Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment in Milwaukee, WI. The MRI Technologist will be responsible for performing high-quality MRI procedures, ensuring patient safety, and producing accurate diagnostic images in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities

Perform MRI examinations in accordance with physician orders and established protocols
Prepare and position patients to obtain optimal imaging results
Operate MRI equipment safely and efficiently
Monitor patients throughout procedures to ensure comfort and safety
Screen patients for MRI safety (metal implants, contraindications, etc.)
Administer contrast media when required, in compliance with policies
Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation
Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team members to ensure quality care
Adhere to infection control, safety, and regulatory standards

Required Certifications & Licensure

ARRT (MR) Certification – Required
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) – Registered Radiographer (RT) – Preferred or required by facility
State Licensure (Wisconsin) – Required, if applicable
BLS Certification (AHA) – Required

Qualifications

Minimum 1–2 years of recent MRI experience preferred
Experience with a variety of MRI procedures and equipment
Strong knowledge of MRI safety standards and protocols
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Excellent communication and patient care skills
Flexibility to adapt to facility workflow and scheduling needs
