Prime Care Family Practice is an established, independent primary care practice located just 20 minutes south of Richmond in Prince George County. We are physician and nurse practitioner owned and take pride in providing high-quality, personalized healthcare in a collaborative and supportive environment.

We are seeking a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner who is looking for a practice where they can build meaningful relationships with patients, work alongside an experienced team, and enjoy the benefits of an independent practice.

Our providers care for a diverse patient population ranging from pediatrics through older adults, with an emphasis on preventive care, chronic disease management, patient education, and continuity of care.

No required nights or weekends
Weekday office hours of 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Rotating telephone call coverage for after-hours patient needs

The Role

The Family Nurse Practitioner will provide comprehensive primary care to pediatric and adult patients, including:

Preventive and wellness care
Acute illness and same-day care
Chronic disease management
Health maintenance and disease prevention
Patient education and counseling
Coordination of care with specialists and other healthcare providers
Developing long-term relationships with patients and families

We are looking for someone who is compassionate, clinically strong, dependable, and committed to providing excellent patient care. The ideal candidate will enjoy working as part of a team and appreciate the relationships that come with practicing in an independent primary care setting.

Qualifications

Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner
Current Virginia Nurse Practitioner license
Current DEA license
Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
At least 1 year of Nurse Practitioner experience preferred
Family practice and/or pediatric experience preferred
Prior experience with eClinicalWorks is a plus
Strong commitment to quality, evidence-based care and positive patient outcomes
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively with physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, and support staff

Schedule & Employment

Full-time opportunity available.

No required nights or weekends.
