**Job Posting: Sterile Processing Technician**

**Location:** Waxahachie Surgery Center, Waxahachie, Texas

**Position Type:** PRN

Waxahachie Surgery Center is a leading ophthalmology surgery center dedicated to providing exceptional surgical eye care to our community. We are committed to upholding the highest standards of patient safety and infection control. As part of our team, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the cleanliness and sterility of our surgical instruments and equipment.

**Position Overview:**

We are seeking a detail-oriented Sterile Processing Technician to join our team on a PRN basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sterilizing and maintaining surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies to support the safe and efficient functioning of our ophthalmic operating rooms.

**Key Responsibilities:**

Perform decontamination, cleaning, and sterilization of surgical instruments and equipment.

Assemble and package instruments and supplies for ophthalmic surgical procedures.

Monitor and maintain sterilization equipment and records.

Collaborate with the ophthalmic surgical team to ensure the availability of sterile instruments for each procedure.

Adhere to infection control protocols and safety standards.

Assist in inventory management and order supplies as needed.

**Qualifications:**

High school diploma or equivalent.

Certification as a Sterile Processing Technician required

Knowledge of sterilization techniques and equipment.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced ophthalmology surgical environment.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
