Full Job Description

Job Summary:

The Sales Territory Representative is responsible for driving Casa Verde product sales, distribution, and brand visibility within NY State. This role serves as the face of the brand in the field, developing strong relationships with dispensary partners, budtenders, and retail teams to ensure optimal product placement, education, and sell-through.

Key Responsibilities:

Grow Sales & Market Share:

Execute territory sales plans to meet and exceed revenue goals for the Casa Verde brands.
Track performance against targets weekly and adjust approach to close gaps proactively.

Account Management:

Build and maintain long-term relationships with dispensary buyers, managers, and staff to increase sell-in and sell-through performance.
Conduct regular account visits to assess product performance, resolve issues, and identify growth opportunities.

Product Training & Education:

Work with the brand ambassador team to conduct in-store product knowledge sessions and budtender trainings.
Enhance brand advocacy and drive conversion through consistent, accurate product education.

Merchandising Execution:

Work with the brand ambassador team to ensure brand standards are upheld at retail — including display execution, menu accuracy, pricing consistency, and promotional compliance.

New Account Development:

Identify and onboard new dispensary partners and retail opportunities to expand the distribution footprint within the Eastern NY territory.

Territory Planning:

Manage call cycles, route planning, and order forecasting to maintain consistent and efficient territory coverage.

Marketing Alignment:

Collaborate with brand and marketing teams to execute retail activations, pop-ups, events, and sampling programs that enhance brand presence.

Market Intelligence:

Track competitor activity, pricing trends, and product launches within the territory.
Report insights to management on a regular basis to support strategy refinement.

Reporting:

Maintain accurate CRM records, submit sales reports, and provide weekly updates on territory performance and opportunities.
Leverage reporting tools to ensure full visibility into account activity and pipeline status.

Qualifications:

High School diploma or GED required, bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or related field preferred.
Minimum 1–2 years of outside sales, account management, or territory sales experience; cannabis industry experience a plus.
Existing relationships with New York dispensary buyers or retail partners strongly preferred.
Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Self-motivated and highly organized, able to manage a territory independently with minimal supervision.
Proficiency in CRM tools and reporting platforms; comfortable working with sales data.
Must be 21 years or older and eligible to work in New York State's regulated cannabis industry.
Must pass all required background checks as outlined by OCM.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required, this role requires regular travel within the Eastern NY region.

Working Conditions:

Frequent travel throughout the NY State designated Territory discussed — estimated 70–80% of time in the field.
Ability to work flexible hours including evenings or weekends as required for retail events and activations.
Ability to lift and transport up to 30 lbs of product samples and marketing materials.
