CONTRACT RATE
$28.25 - per hour

Support Specialist - Customer Service
Join our team at Chelan County Public Utility District. As one of the largest hydroelectric generating utilities in the Northwest, our mission at Chelan PUD is to improve the quality of life for the thousands of people who call our pristine desert and mountain community home.
Overview
Provide exceptional customer service as a first point of contact for both internal and external Service Center customers. Performs a wide range of office support including, but not limited to, data entry, project support, p-card reconciliation, purchase requisitions/orders, scanning documentation, payroll entry following CBA rules, travel planning, paging, and assisting with visitor badge request needs.
Responsibilities
-
Provide exceptional customer service as a first point of contact for customers interacting at the second-floor lobby counter in the Service Center. Triage customer needs for assistance by obtaining the appropriate person/team. Assist with visitor badge request needs. Answer phone calls, assist callers with questions, page, take messages and redirect calls as appropriate.

Create, process, and administer scanning files ensuring retention requirements are met. Stays abreast of District records management and retention policies. Executes disposition of records according to State guidelines.

Provide wide range of office support for Customer Utilities such as Pcards reconciliation, purchase requisition and order processing, correspondence, standard updates, assist with updates to internal and external websites and with the coordination of meetings arrangements as requested.

Enter field personnel payroll following CBA rules and act as a “super user”, providing in-depth assistance to others in proper time entry processes for the payroll solution.

Coordinate travel arrangements, research travel alternatives and prepare of travel authorizations, cash advances and expense reports for approval.

Order and distribute office supplies.

Maintain regular and predictable attendance: Perform related duties and responsibilities as required. Comply with District policies. Complete all required training. Maintain a working knowledge and comply with District safety procedures and specific safety requirements of this position, and those in accordance with applicable provisions of the Revised Code of Washington (RCW) and Washington Administrative Code (WAC).

Provide redundancy by understanding the administrative assistant(s) role and supporting in times of high workload or leave.

Qualifications
Experience
-
2+ years Clerical support experience required. Experience working with the public and external entities preferred.
Licenses and Certifications

Must successfully complete clerical testing. required.

Must be proficient in reading, writing and speaking English.
