Position

Japanese Bilingual Accountant

We are seeking a Japanese Bilingual Accountant to join our team. We welcome candidates with prior accounting experience, as well as motivated entry-level candidates holding a degree in Accounting who are eager to build a career in a professional accounting firm.

We are a close-knit accounting firm with a warm and supportive working environment. Our business continues to expand thanks to our dedicated staff and attentive, high-quality service.

Due to our small-team structure, you will have the opportunity to gain broad hands-on experience starting from your first year. Additionally, with many Japanese corporate clients, you will gain valuable experience in both US and Japanese accounting and bookkeeping practices.

Visa sponsorship may be considered based on your experience and skill set.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Maintain and update accounting records and financial files
Analyze budgets and prepare expense reports
Examine tax policies and handle tax payments and returns
Meet with clients to discuss confidential accounting issues
Post transactions and categorize records in the general ledger (e.g., assets, liabilities, and expenses)
Perform bank statement reconciliations
Analyze transactions with internal and external stakeholders
Conduct month-end and year-end closing processes
Prepare documentation and schedules for audits
Advise clients on financial issues via email or phone
Implement new accounting policies and ensure compliance with relevant rules and regulations
Report to the Accounting Manager and contribute to improving financial processes

Working Hours & Style

Hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Style: In-Office

Salary & Benefits

Salary: $54,000 – $90,000 / year (commensurate with experience)
Health & Dental Insurance: 80% employer-covered

Qualifications

Bilingual fluency in Japanese and English
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
Prior experience working at an accounting firm is preferred

Pay: $54,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
