Full Job Description

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Medical Doctor to join our newly opned urgent care team in North Hollywood. This vital role involves providing prompt, high-quality medical services to patients with a wide range of acute illnesses and injuries. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will deliver comprehensive patient care, collaborate with other healthcare professionals, and utilize advanced medical technologies to ensure optimal outcomes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the community by delivering compassionate, efficient, and expert medical attention in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history reviews
Diagnose and treat a variety of urgent health conditions across multiple specialties such as emergency medicine, pediatrics, dermatology, and more
Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems to document patient encounters accurately and efficiently
Perform diagnostic procedures including medical imaging interpretation and basic laboratory assessments
Manage acute pain and perform procedures such as suturing, wound care, and ostomy care when necessary
Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals across specialties like cardiology, neurology, radiology, and surgery to develop effective treatment plans
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain meticulous medical records for all patients
Provide patient education on health management, preventive care, and follow-up instructions to promote long-term wellness

Qualifications

Medical degree (MD) from an accredited institution with valid licensing to practice medicine in the state
Post-residency experience in urgent care or emergency medicine preferred; recent inpatient or hospital experience is advantageous
Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or similar platforms
Strong knowledge of healthcare diagnosis, pharmacology, anatomy, physiology, and clinical research methods
Experience performing diagnostic radiology procedures or interpreting medical imaging is a plus
Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations while maintaining excellent patient service standards
Excellent communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and educating patients effectively
Basic life support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications such as ACLS or PALS are desirable
