Full Job Description

Glovis Georgia is an affiliate of Hyundai Motor Group. We are a tier one supplier of integrated logistics and warehousing services to Kia Motors Manufacturing in West Point, Georgia. We currently have an opening for an Assistant Accounting Manager.

The ideal candidate will have the following minimum experience:

BA/BS with an emphasis in Accounting.
Strong experience in the financial reporting/general ledger area.
Must have strong experience with Microsoft Excel and SAP.

Job Duties for this position will include (but are not limited to):

Review and ensure the accuracy of all AR/AP transactions including working time, charges, and supporting documentation.
Oversee SAP data entries and ensure timely and accurate processing.
Address and resolve invoice discrepancies with customers and vendors.
Monitor and report operational charges such as accessory fees and coordinate necessary internal actions.
Ensure compliance with documentation and recordkeeping policies for AR/AP and reimbursements.
Supervise the preparation and auditing of journal entries, GL codes, cost centers, and related accounting data
Track payment aging for both AR and AP, ensuring timely collections and disbursements.
Coordinate with HQ Accounting Team in Korea for reconciliation and payment confirmation.
Resolve account discrepancies with vendors and customers and maintain accurate balance records.
Supervising team members, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
Review monthly financial reports including P&L analysis and reconciliation.

Ensure all financial closing tasks are completed on time and in compliance with internal and external guidelines.
Coordinate and participate in interdepartmental projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
Serve as the point of contact for escalated accounting issues and special projects.
Approve and manage the setup of new customer and vendor accounts.
Ensure complete and accurate documentation and SAP master data setup.
Assist in drafting and reviewing contracts, supporting documents, and project files.
