Full Job Description

Job Overview
Join our compassionate team as an In Home Caregiver, where you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals needing support in their daily routines. This rewarding position involves providing personalized care, assisting with activities of daily living, and ensuring safety and comfort within clients' homes. Your dedication will help promote independence and dignity for those you serve, making a meaningful difference every day. Duties

Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility support using appropriate patient transfer methods like Hoyer lifts or manual handling techniques.
Support clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including meal preparation, medication administration, and light housekeeping to maintain a clean and safe environment.
Monitor patients’ health by taking vital signs, observing for changes, and reporting findings in accordance with care plans and HIPAA regulations.
Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering social engagement and mental well-being.
Assist with transportation to medical appointments, community activities, or errands, ensuring safe and timely travel.
Follow detailed care plans tailored to each individual’s needs, including dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, memory care, or support for individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities.
Maintain accurate documentation of patient observations, medication schedules, and any incidents or changes in condition to ensure continuity of care.

Requirements

Proven experience working with individuals requiring home health care or in settings such as assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or group homes.
Knowledge of patient monitoring techniques including vital signs measurement and dementia or Alzheimer's care strategies.
Ability to perform manual handling tasks and heavy lifting safely while adhering to safety protocols.
Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training are preferred.
Experience working with individuals with autism or neurodevelopmental disorders is highly desirable.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, family members, and healthcare professionals.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for client outings or appointments are preferred.
