Culinary/Dietary Aide

Job Summary:

This position is primarily responsible for dining room meal service to residents. The Culinary/Dietary Aide performs designated work and cleaning routines for the Dietary Department and is accountable to the Culinary Supervisor and Community Director.

Responsibilities:

Place items such as eating utensils, napkins and condiments on the tables
Prepares beverages and sets them on tables
Serves meals
Washes dishes and cleans the work area, tables, cabinets, dishwasher and ovens.
Sweep and mops the floors
Collects and places garbage and trash in designated containers and takes it out to the dumpster.
Other duties as assigned
Follow Meal serving schedule and procedures
Offers resident meal choices and meets resident’s specific dietary needs
Accommodates resident requests such as requests for food substitution, change in seating, etc.
Ability to follow food service and cleaning procedures
Ability to understand and follow sanitation procedures
Ability to use food preparation and serving tools safely and effectively.
Provide kitchen support when required
Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Knowledge of food safety and food preparation.
High School diploma/ GED or one to three months of related experience.
Must be able to read, write and communicate in English

Abilities:

Outstanding communication skills
Organizational skills.
Strong Communications skillset
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Ability to Prioritize.
Ability to handle fast paced environment
Food safety knowledge

Physical Requirements:

Stand, sit and walk for long periods of time.
Full ranges of motion to climb, balance, kneel, crouch or crawl.
Occasionally lift/or move up to 25 pounds
