Full Job Description

Quality Engineer II – Product Risk Management (IDVR)

Location: 100% Onsite
Pay Rate: $44.78
Schedule: Mon–Fri, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Start Date: ASAP (after screenings clear)

Interview Process

1st Round: Video interview via Microsoft Teams
2nd Round: Onsite interview with team members and manager

About the Role

IDVR is partnering with a reputable medical device manufacturer to hire a Quality Engineer II who will support product risk management activities throughout the product lifecycle. This position works closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Regulatory Affairs, and Quality teams to ensure product risk documentation complies with FDA regulations, ISO standards, and internal quality system requirements.

The ideal candidate has experience in a regulated industry, strong analytical skills, and hands-on knowledge of product risk management, complaint investigations, and quality systems.

Responsibilities

Perform product risk evaluations associated with customer complaints, manufacturing non-conformances, and new product development.
Conduct hazard analyses and risk assessments in accordance with ISO 14971.
Develop, maintain, and improve product risk management documentation.
Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Regulatory Affairs, Marketing, and Quality teams to support product safety and compliance.
Support complaint investigations, health hazard assessments, and quality investigations.
Identify opportunities to improve risk management processes and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure compliance with FDA regulations, GMP requirements, ISO standards, and company quality procedures.
Maintain accurate, complete, and audit-ready risk management documentation.
Communicate effectively across cross-functional teams to resolve quality-related issues.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
Minimum of 3 years of Quality Engineering experience in a regulated environment such as medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or a similar industry.
Experience with product risk management, including hazard analysis and risk assessments (ISO 14971).
Experience supporting complaint investigations, manufacturing non-conformance evaluations, or health hazard assessments.
Working knowledge of FDA regulations, ISO standards, GMP requirements, and quality management systems.
Strong analytical, documentation, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification.
Experience with GMP environments and quality system audits.
Exposure to new product development and design assurance.
Experience working in a cross-functional or enterprise environment.
Knowledge of quality tools and continuous improvement methodologies.
