Full Job Description

Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated Dedtru Surface Grinder Operator to join our manufacturing team. Experience operating Dedtru surface grinders is a plus, but we are willing to train candidates who have strong mechanical aptitude and a desire to learn precision machining.

This position requires attention to detail, a commitment to producing high-quality parts, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate is dependable, mechanically inclined, and eager to develop new skills.

Duties

Operate Dedtru surface grinding equipment to grind and finish precision metal components to specification.
Learn and perform machine setup, adjustments, and basic maintenance.
Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and technical drawings.
Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools, including micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
Maintain dimensional accuracy and quality standards throughout the grinding process.
Perform routine machine cleaning and maintain a safe, organized work area.
Work closely with supervisors and team members to meet production schedules and quality expectations.
Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

Requirements

Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn precision grinding techniques.
Previous manufacturing or machining experience is preferred but not required.
Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings is a plus.
Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
Ability to use or learn precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift materials as needed.
