Experienced Kitchen & Bath Designer
Showcase Kitchens | Canton, CT
Full-Time | In-Person
Estimated Total Compensation: $85,000–$100,000+
Are you an experienced kitchen and bath designer looking for a position where you can do great design work, build lasting client relationships, and be an important part of a close-knit team—while being rewarded for the success of your projects?
Showcase Kitchens is looking for an experienced Kitchen & Bath Designer to join our family-owned design and remodeling company in Canton, Connecticut.
This is an opportunity for an established designer who enjoys taking ownership of projects from the first client conversation and initial design concepts through selections, ordering, coordination, and installation.
At Showcase Kitchens, our designers aren't simply creating layouts. They're helping homeowners make one of the biggest investments in their homes. We believe the experience our clients receive should be just as exceptional as the finished space.
We're looking for someone who shares that philosophy.
What You'll Do
As a Kitchen & Bath Designer, you'll manage your own projects while working closely with our team, clients, contractors, installers, and vendors.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Meet with homeowners to understand their goals, style, priorities, and project budget
- Create thoughtful, functional, and beautiful kitchen and bath designs
- Develop floor plans, elevations, renderings, and design presentations using 2020 Design Software
- Guide clients through cabinetry, countertops, hardware, finishes, and other product selections
- Prepare and present project proposals and pricing
- Manage the design and sales process from initial consultation through project completion
- Accurately prepare cabinetry orders and carefully review measurements, specifications, and details before ordering
- Coordinate with contractors, installers, vendors, and manufacturers
- Maintain proactive communication with clients throughout their projects
- Manage multiple projects at various stages while staying organized and meeting deadlines
- Build lasting client relationships and deliver the high level of service homeowners expect when investing in a professionally designed kitchen or bath
Who We're Looking For
This position is best suited for an experienced kitchen and bath professional who can confidently manage both the creative and technical sides of a remodeling project.
Required
- 3+ years of professional kitchen and bath design experience
- Proficiency with 2020 Design Software
- Experience creating floor plans, elevations, and professional design presentations
- Strong knowledge of cabinetry, kitchen and bath space planning, and construction details
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Excellent client communication and presentation skills
- Meticulous attention to measurements, specifications, ordering, and project details
Preferred
- Kitchen and bath, cabinetry, remodeling, interior design, or high-end retail sales experience
- Experience managing projects from design through installation
- Experience working directly with contractors and installers
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
The Person Who Will Thrive Here
We're a small, family-owned business, so finding the right person is important to us.
You'll likely enjoy working at Showcase Kitchens if you:
- Love kitchen and bath design but also genuinely enjoy working with people
- Take pride in the details and accuracy of your work
- Are comfortable discussing budgets, presenting proposals, and closing sales
- Take ownership of your projects rather than waiting for someone else to manage the details
- Communicate proactively when questions or issues arise
- Enjoy collaborating with contractors, installers, vendors, and coworkers
- Bring a positive, professional attitude to work
- Prefer being part of a smaller team where your contribution truly matters
Why Showcase Kitchens?
We're not a big-box retailer or a high-volume design center.
We're a family-owned kitchen and bath company that values thoughtful design, quality products, strong client relationships, and attention to detail.
You'll have the opportunity to work closely with homeowners, be involved in projects from beginning to end, and see your designs become finished spaces.
We value experienced designers who bring their own creativity and expertise to the table while working collaboratively with the rest of our team.
