Are you ready to be part of something extraordinary? Ithaka Hospitality Partners is seeking dependable and detail-oriented individuals to join our dynamic team at Elevation Convening Center & Hotel, a purpose-driven, sophisticated destination offering stunning views of downtown Montgomery, AL.

We are currently hiring for a Laundry Attendant, an important role within our Housekeeping team. This position helps ensure guests and team members have clean, fresh linens and uniforms that support an exceptional hospitality experience.

Job Summary:

The Laundry Attendant is responsible for operating and maintaining laundry equipment while washing, drying, folding, and organizing hotel linens, and towels. This role ensures laundry operations are completed efficiently, safely, and according to the hotel's quality standards while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Sort all sheets, terry, robes, and feather duvets into separate laundry bins.
Inspect linen for blood that might have been overlooked by the housekeeper. Place the contaminated linen in a red plastic biohazard bag.
Turn in all lost and found items in accordance with lost and found procedures. Lost and found might be mixed up with dirty linen.
The laundry sorter will weigh each bin of sheets, terry, duvets, and robes and record on a daily clipboard. Subtract the weight of the bin from the total weight.
Turn in the daily sheet to the PM supervisor.
Move all bins to the designated pick-up area for the laundry company.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Sweep and mop the chute area at the end of the day.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Abilities:

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work with little supervision.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Must possess a drivers license with acceptable driving record per company standards.

Education & Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Any combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skill, and ability to perform the job.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of walking, standing, and sitting.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
