Join our dynamic dental team as a Registered Dental Hygienist and play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and promoting optimal oral health. In this energetic and fast-paced environment, you will utilize your expertise to provide comprehensive dental hygiene services, educate patients on maintaining healthy smiles, and support the overall efficiency of our dental practice. Your dedication will help foster a welcoming atmosphere where patients feel confident and cared for at every visit.

Duties

Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions to inform treatment plans.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using dental imaging equipment while ensuring radiation safety protocols are followed.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, including brushing, flossing techniques, and preventive care strategies.
Assist the dentist during procedures through four-handed dentistry techniques, ensuring smooth workflow and patient comfort.
Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix), documenting patient information accurately and reviewing medical records for comprehensive care.
Maintain strict infection prevention protocols by adhering to infection control standards, aseptic techniques, and HIPAA compliance to protect patient confidentiality.
Operate dental equipment efficiently, including dental x-ray machines, sterilizers, and other clinical tools necessary for quality care delivery.
Support patient care by taking vital signs, reviewing medical history forms, and assessing patient needs before procedures.
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations related to medical coding, documentation review, and medical records management.

Experience

Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist in a busy dental clinic or healthcare setting with familiarity in general dentistry procedures.
Proficiency in using EHR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for documentation and patient management.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and infection control practices.
Experience with pediatric dentistry is highly desirable to effectively serve young patients in a caring manner.
Ability to perform dental x-rays accurately while maintaining safety standards for patients and staff.
Excellent communication skills for client interaction, education, and team collaboration within a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of healthcare infection prevention and control expertise to uphold the highest standards of safety and hygiene.
