SUMMARY
We are seeking a talented and innovative Fabric Pattern Maker to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and developing unique fabric patterns that align with our brand and client vision. Your expertise in cutting table techniques and collaborative spirit will be essential as you work closely with designers, fabrication teams, and other internal and external clients to bring creative concepts to life.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Creating innovative solutions and developing prototypes for real-time event needs
Engage team members and custom team in brainstorming sessions to gather insights and ideas
Troubleshoot and solve problems as they arise and improve areas of productivity when possible
Ability to recognize defective fabric or inconsistency in fabric and distinguish color variations
Identify unusable fabric or fabric issues that may be production problems prior to cutting
Maintaining records of fabric patterns and modifications of patterns for additional sizes
Capable of standing, bending, twisting, turning, and lifting to 50 lbs.
Comfortable working in a high energy, high production environment that is ever-changing
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Assist with other tasks when necessary
REQUIREMENTS
Demonstrated ability to successfully create new designs and concepts
Knowledge of automated cutting equipment is desirable
Experience with CAD, Adobe Illustrator or similar software a plus
Familiar with garment and/or drapery construction sewing
Ability to create custom pattern shapes
Demonstrated knowledge of various fabrics, including linings, interfacings, etc. and handling unstable fabrics and specialty fabrics
Creating digital cutting patterns
Proven track record of reverse engineering from concept to prototype
Good understanding of textile terminology and characteristics of woven and knit fabrics.
Familiar with matching plaids, stripes, and pattern repeats
Basic computer skills, data entry, Microsoft Excel, and Word
Good work ethic, communications skills, and problem-solving ability
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to communicate issues clearly to others and problem solve
